Warehouse Volunteer

Our warehouse volunteers are at the heart of what we do. Our team is responsible for sorting, storing and recording the food we get delivered to our warehouse. They also assemble food orders for our charity members across Yorkshire. Every day is different, and you’ll be part of a fun, welcoming team. There’s something for people of all abilities!

I come and volunteer at FareShare Yorkshire because I love to help others. I get involved with the loading of the vans, sorting stock, cleaning and picking and packing the orders. When individuals donate, it’s so good knowing that it helps our work to continue and being able to see the difference it makes first-hand is fantastic. All the community food members that collect from the warehouse are always so thankful.

Van Driver

Our van drivers are vital to the work we do. Drivers make sure our food gets delivered to charity members in 11 towns and cities across Yorkshire. You must be over 18 to do this role, have a full, clean licence and be confident driving a 3.5 tonne van.

Volunteering here is a helpful way to spend my week now that I am retired. As a van driver I enjoy seeing the range of charities out there that FareShare delivers food to. The staff and other volunteers are very supportive here.
